Does Simple CRM work without signal?
Yes. Everything is stored on the phone itself and the app works with no connection at all — a basement, a crawl space, a site with no bars. Nothing waits on a server.
Do I need to create an account?
No. An account is optional and free: sign in with Google or Apple, with no password to make up, and your business comes with you when you change phones. Skip it and you are working in under a minute.
Where does my data live?
On your phone. Without an account nothing leaves it. If you sign in and choose a plan, your business records are backed up to our server so your other phones and your crew see them; photos always stay on the phone that took them. The Android app counts feature use and crashes with Firebase, never the contents of your records. The details are in the Simple CRM privacy policy.
Can I take before and after photos of a job?
Yes. Photos are filed under Before, During or After — picked for you from where the project is — and the before and after sit side by side with a slider to compare them. One tap turns a project's photos into a PDF photo report with your business details, ready to send to the homeowner.
Which trades is it set up for?
The starter price books cover HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general contracting. You can edit any of them, or start from scratch and build your own.

Is there a free CRM app for contractors?
Simple CRM is free on Google Play, with no ads and no sign-up required. It is built for one person or a small crew running their own jobs, not for a sales team — and if the crew grows, one plan covers everyone instead of a seat licence per office user.
Can I use it as a job management app?
Yes. A project holds the jobs that make it up, each with its own photos, notes and checklist, plus the schedule, the costs and the invoice — so the work and the money sit in the same place instead of two apps that never agree.
Can my crew use it too?
Yes, on a Crew plan. Invite each person with a one-time code; they sign in with their own Google or Apple account and work from the same customers and jobs. Remove someone and they lose access straight away.
Is there an iPhone version?
It is on the way. The iPhone app uses the same sign-in, so one account works on both, and it carries the same before-and-after photos and photo report. Android is available on Google Play today.
