Simple Invoice & Estimate is an offline invoicing app published by NextLayer Technology. Your business, client and invoice details never leave the phone they were entered on.

The short version: everything you enter stays on your device and there is no account. The only thing the app sends is anonymous usage and crash measurement — never your documents, clients or amounts.

Information stored on your device

The business details, logo, tax settings, client information, estimates and invoices you enter are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party. Uninstalling the app deletes them, so please keep your own backup of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Usage analytics and crash reports

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how it is used and to find out when it breaks. What they send is limited to measurements about the app itself:

Which screens are opened.
That an estimate or invoice was created, converted, exported or shared — the fact of the action and counts only.
Whether setup was completed, and when an upgrade screen or a free-plan limit was shown.
Errors and crashes, with the technical details needed to fix them.
Standard device and app information: device model, Android version, app version, language, a coarse location (country or region) derived from your IP address, and a random identifier for the app installation.

Never sent: your business details, logo, client names or contact details, invoice or estimate contents, line items, amounts, file names or any PDF. Events carry counts and fixed labels, never text you typed.

The app does not use the Android Advertising ID — the permission is removed from the app — and there are no ads or advertising SDKs. Analytics are switched off in development builds and on Google's automated test devices. Google keeps analytics events for at most 14 months and crash reports for 90 days; to have the data for your installation deleted sooner, email support@nextlayertechnology.net.

Sharing documents

When you share a PDF, it is handed to Android's share sheet and goes wherever you send it. That app's own privacy policy applies to anything you send through it.

In-app purchases

If you upgrade to Pro, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details — the app only receives confirmation that the upgrade is active on your device.

Children

This app is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If what the app collects changes, this page is updated before that version ships, and the effective date at the top changes with it.
